Multiple blocks can be bought at once, but try not to over-purchase printing, there are no refunds for unused pages.

There are two options for remote printing, web printing, and network printing.

Remote Web Printing

To print from any laptop or computer, simply go to http://print.ews.illinois.edu. You will then see this logon screen. Use your netID and AD password to log on.

Overview

Engineering IT provides lecture or event recording in many rooms across the college. This includes assisting in the design of rooms to enable them for recording, support of the equipment within recording-enabled rooms, and storage/hosting of the recordings for later viewing.

Covers

Automated and/or staffed lecture/event capture is limited to rooms within the college of Engineering with appropriate hardware/software installed.  New room installation of presentation-capture equipment is limited to rooms appropriate to the equipment.

Introduction

Citrix is a service that enables the use of Windows applications from a variety of platforms without needing to install the application locally. The application's computing and GPU needs are handled by EWS-hosted servers.  Citrix offers the ability to open files in an EWS home directory, as well as files on the computer you are connecting from. Overview

The majority of instructional computer labs within the College are managed and maintained by Engineering IT. Lab management includes the management and provisioning of hardware, software and printing services. This currently includes more than 1,450 workstations in 109 locations.

Within this area, there are two basic types of labs: the traditional Engineering WorkStations (EWS) labs that are open for general use/class instruction; and departmental instructional labs, where use is limited to one or more particular classes.

Installation

Open the web browser on your home computer and go to: www.cygwin.com.

Click on the Install or update now link and download and/or run the Setup program.

Choose Install from the Internet.
