To use an EWS printer from a laptop or other non-EWS computer, first connect to a campus IP address by connecting to the campus wireless network and/or VPN. Follow the instructions here on how to connect to the CITES VPN.

Engineering IT operates on a cost recovery funding model.  Units pay for services on behalf of their faculty, students, and staff with the College subsidizing some common and widely used services. Individual faculty and research groups may contract with Engineering IT for services not covered by their home unit.

Check your printing account. This includes information such as printing history, page purchase history, and user information.

Pages can be bought in blocks of 50 pages for $4.00. Multiple blocks can be bought at once, but try not to over-purchase printing, there are no refunds for unused pages.

There are two options for remote printing, web printing, and network printing.

Remote Web Printing

To print from any laptop or computer, simply go to http://print.ews.illinois.edu. You will then see this logon screen. Use your netID and AD password to log on.
