Engineering IT facilitates the acquisition of computer software for administrative, instructional and research purposes.

Availability varies by title. Most products are licensed for instructional or research purposes.

Rates

There is no charge for assistance provided to acquire or install software packages. Software packages not covered by an existing site license agreement must be paid for by the interested parties. Some packages may be currently licensed strictly for instructional use and not for research or administrative use.

Getting Started

Available titles include:

AutoDesk Applications

  • For faculty and staff, Engineering IT contributes to the campus AutoDesk license that permits installation of AutoDesk applications on University-owned computers. For additional details, log in to the Webstore, click on "Unit Purchase" and search for "AutoDesk."
  • Many AutoDesk Applications are available to students, faculty and staff for personal use via the Autodesk Design Institute Student Licensing program. For additional details, log in to the Webstore, click on "Personal Purchase" and search for" Autodesk."

Mathematica

  • For faculty and staff, a free subscription to Mathematica is available from the Software Webstore. For additional details, log in to the Webstore, click on "Unit Purchase" and search for "Mathematica."

MATLAB

  • For faculty, staff and students, MATLAB is available at no charge from the Software Webstore. For additional details, log in to the Webstore, click on "Personal Purchase" and search for MATLAB for additional details.

Microsoft Applications

  • For faculty and staff, a variety of Microsoft applications are available at no cost for installation on University owned computers under the Microsoft Campus Agreement, as well as at a discount for personally owned computers. For additional details, log in to the Webstore, click on "UNIT Purchase" and search for "Microsoft."
  • All students within the College of Engineering are covered by the MSDNAA agreement and can download and install many Microsoft applications at no cost. For additional details, log in to the Webstore, click on "Personal Purchase" and search for "MSDNAA."

If you are looking for another application, Engineering IT controls the access to the media and licenses for a variety of other software applications, including:
